Lesson for one shooter of any ability level. All lessons include a visual evaluation and gunfit check-up, unless waived by the student.
Lesson for two shooters of any ability level. All lessons include a visual evaluation and gunfit check-up, unless waived by the student.
Half-day session (3.5 hours) for 1 - 5 shooters or corporate group at any level (We do not organize the groups). All lessons include a gunfit check-up, unless waived by the student.
Full day clinic for 1 to 5 shooters or a corporate group at any ability level (We do not organize the groups). Session consists of 3.5 hours in the morning, 3.5 hours in the afternoon with a 1-hour break for lunch. This may be spread over two days with one half-day in the afternoon and the other half-day the next morning. All lessons include a gunfit check-up, unless waived by the student.
Don will evaluate the fit of your existing shotgun and adjust your shotgun, to the extent necessary and possible. The goal is to ensure that your shotgun is fitted correctly and shoots where you are looking. Don can make many of the necessary adjustments on-site at his Paisley Florida location.
This is a detailed gun fitting session. If you are interested in ordering a bespoke (custom) shotgun, or a custom stock for an existing shotgun, you should book this type of gunfitting. It's no problem if you choose to use another stock maker to make your stock, or purchase your custom shotgun through a dealer other than the Academy of Wing & Clay Shooting. Don conducts fitting for many of the world's top gunmakers. During this fitting, Don will fit you to an adjustable try-gun (or work with you to adjust a pattern stock), validate your measurements on a patterning board, and finally validate the fit of the try-gun on a minimum of two types of clay target presentations. After the fitting, you will be provided with a set of detailed written dimensions.
This is a 45-minute phone consultation. Most often, clients opt to discuss subjects such as shooting challenges, performance improvement, shotgun recommendations, equipment selection, and course design. You will be asked to pay by credit card, Venmo, or Zelle at the end of the session.
